NOPP Program Update: January 2014

In January 2014 the Ocean Research Advisory Panel (ORAP) published two new reports: “Leveraging Ocean Education Opportunities” and “Implementing Ecosystem-Based Management.” January was also the unveiling of the new NOPP website, which has been newly formatted and re-designed. NOPP Program Update: October 2012

NOPP Office staff attended and hosted an exhibit booth at the MTS/IEEE Oceans ’12 Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia from 15-18 October. NOPP was pleased to host an awards ceremony honoring the 2011 Excellence in Partnering Awardees on Monday, 14 October. Read more

Members of the National Oceanographic Partnership Program (NOPP) Office staff attended the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Marine Mammal Program Review Poster Session and Reception on April 17 in Arlington, Virginia. Read more

NOPP Program Update: March 2012

Staff from the NOPP Program Office attended the annual project review of the Fiscal Year 2009 NOPP topic, Improving Tropical Cyclone Intensity Models, in Miami, Florida in March. Funded Primary Investigators (PIs) gave presentations to update the NOPP Office and Program Managers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) on their projects. NOPP Program Update: November 2011

During the month of November, the Interagency Working Group on Facilities and Infrastructure (IWG-FI), the Interagency Working Group on Ocean Partnerships (IWG-OP), the IWG-FI Task Force on Unmanned Systems (TFUS), and the full Subcommittee on Ocean Science and Technology (SOST) all held meetings.
